Ozark Trail 10L Backpacking Daypack

Ozark Trail 10L Backpacking Daypack

I normally don’t need it, but it does a good job at tightening up the bag up. They don’t work well, and they tend to get in the way. So, I end up carrying them when I don’t the poles. At 35 liters, this pack is perfect for day trips or for hikers who don't need to carry a lot of gear on the trails. Also a good choice for youngsters who are new to hiking, or who need a rugged pack for toting school items. We loaded the bag up with everything we might need for a 10-to-12-hour day out on the trails. Of course it has no side water holsters, or lid pocket, or hipbelt strap, but I think that all contributes to its low weight. For the water bottles I just use Platypus .5 liter and 1 liter flat style bottles, which you can fit in the main body of the pack on top of your other gear. I only walked about a mile away on a dirt trail to the showers but it was not a flat surface and the equiptment on my back was stable. Fast and easy to adjust and all buckles and webbing are in good quality. Walmart had a small section of packs and for the most part I was satisfied. For storage options, there is a large zippered main compartment, a padded laptop sleeve and front accessory pockets. This bag was also designed with water bottle pockets to keep hydration within reach and side compression straps to help stabilize the load. It is made from 420D recycled polyester fabric and has a 600D polyester abrasion-resistant bottom that offers maximum durability. An adjustable sternum strap and air mesh-padded back and shoulder straps help you get a comfortable and customizable fit every time. The Ozark Trail Association marks and improves the trail and ensures backpacking campsites are well maintained. What’s more, the OT offers many things to see and experience for both seasoned and first-time backpackers. I don't make it a habit of buying my gear from Walmart, but this was a excellent purchase. Choose this pack if you prefer a smaller yet spacious design, as it has useful features and the durability of larger options. While much of the trail is under shaded tree canopy, you’ll still want to use sunscreen to prevent any burns. The Ozark Trail Association maintains a number of maps to help you traverse each section of the trail. If you are using your phone for navigation, bring a paper copy of a map in case you lose signal or find yourself without battery. Trail maps are free to print at home or available for purchase at the online store. Tents, hammocks or open-air camping — you can do it all according to your comfort level.
The bag stayed in place on my back using the sternum strap. Super lightweight yet has a 40-liter capacity. Size is perfect for day trips, smaller individuals, and teens. Great for hiking in warm weather, thanks to the breathable construction, mesh straps, and hydration bladder hook up. Material is durable and will stand up to heavy duty use. Includes compression straps on the sides to keep your gear stable. Here's another AWESOME thing about the Ozark Trail Atka day pack. It's sized to fit every airline's carry-on size requirements. My son and daughter each took one of these on a trip through Europe and they carried it on every plane, train, and bus they rode without any problems. Bring enough water for your trip or a way to purify water to make it safe to drink. Many of the creeks and streams look crystal clear, but it’s still smart to make sure any impurities are removed with pumps or tablets before drinking.
